Tips to Increase Visibility During Sunrise and Sunset

When you think of poor visibility while driving, you probably either think of storms or cloudy, dark nights. But when the sun is rising or setting and you're driving into the glare, it's pretty hard to see. At Lithia Motors, Inc., we want you to be safe while you're driving, so we've come up with some tips to increase your visibility.

One of the best ways is to buy a pair of polarized sunglasses. It's a good idea to invest in multiple pairs so that you can designate one pair that never leaves your car so that they're always there when you need them.

You should also make sure that your windshield is clean. Mud splatters on the outside and previous fogging and smears on the inside will scatter the light, making it more difficult to see through. Use glass cleaner on the inside of your car a couple of times per year, and stop by a gas station to use the glass cleaner and squeegees out by the pumps if you have a lot of dirt on your windshield.
