Touch the easy-to-reach controls and the seat glides forward&nbsp;and back, changes its height and adjusts the angle of the seat cushion. The seatback tilts too. Front round fog lamps aid visibility in foggy or misty conditions. The halogen beams are positioned to focus on the road directly in front of you, giving you a crisper view.

GM is committed to offering engines that run on alternative fuels to help reduce gasoline consumption. The E10 fuel-capable 3.6L V6 DOHC SIDI engine allows Terrain to operate on a fuel mixture of 10% ethanol and 90% gasoline that is sold in many parts of the country.<br /><br />This feature requires the available&nbsp;Connecticut, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont&nbsp;and Washington state emissions, or California state emissions.

Help&nbsp;to&nbsp;know your tires are properly inflated with the Tire Pressure Monitoring System. A warning light is triggered on your dash when tire pressure falls below the recommended amount. This system excludes&nbsp;the spare tire.

Included in your Terrain is the inside rearview auto-dimming mirror. When day turns to night, the glare from headlights behind you is reduced.

Just&nbsp;press a button on the key fob; the engine fires up. And, if you have automatic climate control, the interior warms up or cools down to the&nbsp;temperature&nbsp;at which you last set it. Heated seats get toasty, too. <br /><br />On SLE-2,&nbsp;requires available Convenience Package.

Manage your speed with cruise control. Steering-wheel mounted controls allow you to set and adjust your speed using your fingertips, helping you keep your eyes on the road. If you have to change speeds, simply press the resume speed button to return to your last set speed. It's a perfect feature for highway trips or times when keeping a steady speed is key.

Using buttons on the instrument panel, you choose one of three settings to control the precise level of warmth on your seat cushion and seatback. <br /><br />On SLE-2, the heated front seats require&nbsp;available&nbsp;Convenience Package.

When the pavement turns slippery due to snow, ice or rain, the antilock feature contributes&nbsp;even&nbsp;more to your safety. It eliminates the need to pump the brake pedal to avoid lockup during hard stops. Instead, sensors in each wheel detect lockup before it happens, signaling the calipers to alternately squeeze and release the discs many times per second. You maintain steering control while applying steady, firm pressure to the brake pedal,&nbsp;so you can&nbsp;maneuver away from hazards&nbsp;during emergency stops.&nbsp;
