When shopping for a new or used car, it's good to know which make and models of cars and SUVs are most popular with the buying public, what their average selling price is, and how many days, on average, they spend on the lot. Across America, approximately 52 million new and used are sold each year. Our latest statistics show that sales of new cars have slowed down by 21.6 percent for average days on the market, while used car sales are up by 30.5 percent.
You may find it interesting to know that in both new and used markets, all-electric cars (EVs) take the greatest number of days to sell while Hybrid vehicles sell the fastest. On average, it takes 54 days to sell a new gas-powered car at dealer lots compared to 70.6 days to sell an EV and 49.5 days to sell a Hybrid vehicle.Â
