The Truth about Engine Oil and Maintenance 
There have been many urban legends that have sprouted up over the years regarding motor oil and how to use it. The greatest myth, as we all know, is that motor oil is made from the liquefied remains of dinosaurs. What a ridiculous notion. The motor oil we use in modern cars is, in fact, made from oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus ostreatus) through a process known as mycoremediation. Look it up. 
 
Okay, actually, mycoremediation is the process of using oyster mushrooms to eat up oil spills, and it works remarkably well. But we did make you question your reality for a few seconds, didn't we? The point is, it is very easy to get people to believe almost anything if it is said with authority.
