New 2025 Cadillac Optiq EV

Starting MSRP is predicted to be around $45,000.
General Motors has announced a new compact crossover EV to join its Cadillac line. It will be called Optiq and it is coming in 2025.

A Luxury Electric Crossover that's all Caddy!

The all-new Optiq will round out Cadillac's lineup of luxury electric vehicles that include the Celestiq flagship sedan, the high-end Escalade IQ SUV, and the mid-size Lyriq SUV. Expect the small crossover to share its platform and powertrains with the soon to be released Chevrolet Equinox EV.

The sleek and sultry Optiq will be a smaller and more affordable version of the automaker's luxurious Lyriq SUV. It will be available in front-wheel and all-wheel drive versions. A single electric motor variant will offer 210 horsepower, while a dual motor setup will get you 290 horses. Maximum driving range before the new Caddy needs a recharge should be around 300 miles from GM's 100 kWh Ultium battery pack.

Release Date and Pricing

We think the Optiq's size and price point will make it an instant hit for Cadillac. After all, compact crossovers are extremely popular. For one thing, it is a real looker with a front end that is similar to the larger Lyriq and split taillights that are reminiscent of the mighty Escalade IQ. And if it is anything like the other EVs in Caddy's line up, the Optiq will offer an astounding driving experience under a wide range of road conditions.

It is likely the Optiq will be available in three trim levels that will start at around $45,000 MSRP and go up to $55,000 MSRP depending on options. Like the entire "IQ" line of EVs, expect this clever crossover to offer comfort and the latest infotainment, safety, and driver assist features in a pleasing all-electric package.

Optiq will arrive in showrooms in early 2025, and if these images are any indication, it will be a stunner!
