  5. New Ford Mustang Raptor
Many of the traditional Ford Mustang faithful lamented back in 2019 with the arrival of the all-electric Mach-E with its SUV Crossover looks and the lack of a growling V8 engine. In recent years, many high-end automakers such as Porsche and even Lamborghini have been designing sport cars turned off-roaders such as the Porsche 911 Dakar and Lambo's dirt spewing 602-horsepower Huracán Sterrato. Now Ford Motor Company has set its sights on creating a Raptor off-road version of just about all its vehicles. It started with a desert racer version of the best-selling Ford F-150 full-size pickup truck and a Bronco Raptor soon followed.

One Muddy Stang

Now Ford has set its sights on the venerable Mustang sports coupe for a true trail-ready transformation into an off-roading adventure wagon. Once the seventh-generation Mustang appears in dealerships this fall, the Raptor will be hot on its tail for release in 2026.

The all-wheel drive ground pounder will include your choice of two fire-breathing engine packages offering blistering acceleration in the form of a 5.0-liter 450-hp V8 or a rock-melting 720-hp Supercharged 5.2-liter V8. Both will be married to a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Staying true to the Raptor and Raptor R line, the new Mustang will feature Fox Live Valve shocks front and back to cushion reentry for mountain climbing chores and the latest tall suspension goodies and underbody armored skid plates to keep body bashing to a minimum. All-terrain tires will give you the traction you need when fording streams and tackling rocky obstacles of all kinds.

This all-new pony car turn Mad Max Mustang is poised to be the wildest, and possibly fastest off-roader you can buy, and the limited-edition Mustang Raptor will likely start with an MSRP of around $90,000.
